Total Commitment For Blogging Success

I am not going to beat around the bush and give you some long ass introduction to this post, you asked for my secret to success online, so here it is.

When I was planning this post I thought about all the reasons I continue to be successful online while millions of people continue to struggle.

Could it be luck?

Hell no!

Do I have some special skill that others simply do not posses?

If working your ass off day and night is a special skill then I guess I would have to say yes.

Look, if you are looking for me to tell you that you need special skills to be successful online then you are in the wrong place because I am living proof that anyone with any skill-set can do this.

Will it be hard at times?

Of course, nothing worth having in life comes easy!

Will you need to make sacrifices along the way?

Do you even have to ask?, yes you will but they are well worth it in the end.

My secret really is no secret at all.

It is what we know we should be doing but do not have the will power to make ourselves do it.

I procrastinated and struggled for years before I first saw anything that resembled success.

Many days I thought about throwing in the towel and quitting but I kept moving forward knowing that one day would be my day.

I believe Sylvester Stallone said it best in Rocky

One of the best motive speeches of all time if you ask me!

You may be right where I was then or you may be just getting started and looking for some motivation to kick you in the ass and get you going.

Either way, if you follow what I am about to share with you, I honestly believe that you cannot fail.

Total Commitment For Blogging Success

Success is a tricky word when you really think about it.

It means so many different things to so many different people but the one thing I believe we can agree on is,we all want it!

For me it means never having to go back a job and my family living life on our terms.

Having nice things is cool and all but in reality, living life on our terms in what motivates me to keep grinding day in and day out.

My wife and myself are not completely there yet, we still have bills and jobs but are moving closer and closer to breaking those chains and living a life of complete freedom everyday.

That is what success looks like to me, how about you, what would it take for you to consider yourself successful?

Think about that for a minute while I tell you how you are going to achieve it.

Commitment!

Let’s see what Webster’s says about commitment:

Total Commitment For Blogging Success

“an agreement to do something in the future”, “the state of an instance of being obligated or emotionally impelled”

To me that means that you are giving your word that you will do everything in your power to change the landscape of your life and live the life that you desire to live.

Your word does still mean something doesn’t it?

I am sure if you gave your word to a close friend or even your boss, you would make damn sure you honored your word, right?

Yes, of course you would.

So why not give your word to yourself, stop committing to anything and everyone else and commit to your self for a once.

You will be amazed at what you can accomplish and how much happier you will be when you stop living for everyone else and start living for yourself.

Total Commitment For Blogging Success

The last story I will tell you before I tell you how all this relates to your online business took place almost a hundred years ago but is still very much true today.

Napoleon Hill, author of what I feel is the best self-help book ever written, Think and Grow Rich, was commissioned by steel tycoon Andrew Carnegie to uncover the secret of success.

Over the next 20 years, Hill worked diligently on this project, interviewing and observing more than 500 self-made millionaires including Henry Ford and Thomas Edison just to name a few.

In the end Hill developed his 16 laws of success which are still used to this day.

The first and most important of these laws is what Hill calls “definiteness of purpose”.

In other words, everyone that Hill interviewed over his 20 years of research had total commitment to a definite objective.

I told you that because it very much relates to your online business, your definite objective is for your blog to be successful and to achieve that you much have total commitment to see it through.

Ok, so how does all this commitment relate to your blogging?

I believe you already know the answer but I will give it to you anyways.

There are literally millions of blogs out there doing pretty much what you are trying to do.

Sure there are not that many in your specific niche but competition is everywhere and in every niche all blogs are fighting for traffic.

The only way to get that traffic, besides buying it is to be a truly remarkable blog that stands out from the pack.

How do you make your blog stand out and be remarkable?

To totally commit to your blog, to know what you are talking about and then articulating what you know through your blog posts in a way that not only engages but inspires your readers to take the action you want them to take.

No, not an easy thing to do but if you are committed to your blog being successful, you will find a way.

I personally am not the smartest or most gifted blogger but I believe that my commitment to achieving success gives me an advantage over most bloggers who are just going through the motions.

So besides just saying you are committed, how can you turn things around and start to get the kind of results you want with your blog?

Follow these 3 key principles to blogging success and I am sure you will start to see the needle move:

  1. Blog daily
  2. Learn daily
  3. Market daily

Blog daily – I don’t know what your schedule looks like, I am sure you are busy and don’t have the time to blog every day.

If you cannot blog every single day, then blog as much as you possibly can.

Why?

The more you blog the better and more efficient you will become and the more chances you will have to rank in the search engines.

I personally shoot for 4 blog posts per week but I know I should be doing more.

Learn daily – take 30 minutes a day and read blog posts from your favorite blogs, read educational or inspiring books or anything that will give you inspiration for your next blog posts.

Market daily – get outside the 4 walls of your blog and spread the word all over the internet about the awesome content you are publishing on your blog.

This is a great time to build your social media presence, make YouTube videos, engage with your email list or however else you feel will drive people back to your blog.

I believe if you do all 3 of these things, you will start to see the kind of results you are looking for.

I use these same 3 principles in my online business and have been impressed with the results I have seen.

Total commitment for blogging success is something I absolutely believe in and hope after reading this you will too.
