Three Feet From Gold Review
I recently had the pleasure of reading Three Feet From Gold: Turn Your Obstacles Into Opportunities and wanted to share this book with my readers here on Next35.com
Well to be honest, I listened to the Three Feet From Gold Audiobook, which after hearing Greg’s voice would have preferred the book.
Last year I read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill so I have a deeper appreciation for Three Feet From Gold than someone who has not read Think and Grow Rich yet.
If you have not had the chance to read Think and Grow Rich yet, I strongly urge you too, it is probably the best book ever written on the law of success and a book that will change your life.
Sorry back to Three Feet From Gold, for those of you who have never heard the story behind 3 feet from gold, it goes something like this.
A guy named R U Darby had gold fever so he and his uncle set out to stake their claim and start digging.
The were set on finding gold so they worked hard digging their way until they found what they came for, gold!!
They covered up their find so they could return home to raise the money needed to buy machinery needed to mine their ore.
When they returned things went well and they quickly mined enough ore to pay back all of the money they had borrowed so all the ore they mined from then on would be pure profit but suddenly their supply of gold stopped.
They kept digging but could not find the vein of ore which had been so productive before.
Eventually they gave up, sold their stake and mining equipment to a junk man and returned home to pay back their debts.
The junk man heard their story and had a hunch there was more gold to be mined in Darby’s claim so he called out a mining engineer to examine the claim.
The engineer concluded that where Darby and his uncle had stopped was just three feet from gold, they were so close but gave up and returned home.
The junk man went on to make millions from the gold he mined from the claim that Darby left behind.
Darby learned from his mistake and knew that if he wanted to be successful he had to persevere through the difficult times and stay focused on his goal.
He went on to make much more than he would have made from the gold mine as a hugely successful insurance salesman.
The point of the story is: just when you think its time to give up on your dream, remember that you may to be just three feet from gold.
Three Feet From Gold Review
This book pretty much follows the same story line, Greg, a guy who is really down on his luck gets a one in a billion chance to work with and get mentored by some of the most successful people in business at the time.
The story of Greg’s journey is totally unbelievable and would never happen to you or I in a million years but it’s not the Greg’s story that impressed me about this book, it was the messages and advice that Greg received from each of his mentors.
Inside each of these messages you will find exactly what you are looking for if you are traveling down your own path to success.
I highly recommend Three Feet from Gold but do warn that if you are looking for a book based solely on the believability of the story, you will be disappointed, but if you can see past that and focus on the message the book delivers, you will be glad you took the time to read it.
