Men Can Coupon Too – It’s Not Just For Women Anymore!

Yup you read that right, men can coupon too and it’s not uncool or whatever else people may think or say.

We are two weeks into 2016 and if history holds true, spending less and saving more is on the top of most people’s resolution lists so over the next few weeks I will be sharing several ways that you can start saving more and spending less in 2016.

If you read my recent post on simple money-saving tips, you know that one of the best ways to get a handle on your spending and give your savings a kick in the ass is to know exactly where all your money is going.

If you have not done this yet, I strongly advise you to get on it as you will never really be able to know how much you are spending and how much you could potentially save until you know how much you are spending each month and where.

When you track your spending you will quickly find that food and groceries are probably a huge slice of your monthly spending pie and cutting your spending here is a quick and easy way to free up some serious coin to put back for a rainy day.

I am not saying to stop buying groceries, you still gotta eat and take care of your personal hygiene but you don’t have to be a sucker and pay full price for all the stuff you need.

Men Can Coupon Too

The show Etreme Couponing started a coupon craze that before was only being taken advantage of by the savviest of shoppers.

These days you see grocery stores filled with women and their coupon binders cleaning shelves and saving a ton of money on stuff non-couponers are paying full price for.

Did you notice I said “stores filled with women”?

Why is that? nothing on the coupons say for women only or no men allowed.

So if men can coupon too then why are more men not taking advantage of all this free money that manufacturers and stores want you to take advantage of?

Perhaps most men are not the ones doing the shopping or maybe it’s not socially acceptable for a man to coupon, whatever the reason, I have yet to see another guy at the stores I shop at whipping out a fist full of coupons to get their goods for pennies on the dollar.

I know there are more of us out there and it’s about time we break the barriers that make most men think couponing is a woman’s thing, its not men can coupon too.

Men Can Coupon Too – Giving Back

Couponing to me is a great way for my family to save money on the things we need and a great way to give back to others who are not as fortunate as we are.

We love the idea of being able to spend a little bit of time planning our shopping trip, matching up our coupons with the stores weekly deals and then saving a ton of money at the store but what makes couponing mean even more to us is being able to take the items we get for free and share them with others who are not as fortunate as we are.

There are food banks, shelters and churches that can get the items we donate to the people who need them the most and there is something about being able to give back that makes me want to look for every possible deal that I can find even if I know my family would never use the item, you never know who else might need it but cannot afford to go buy it themselves.

Couponing is one of my favorite money saving methods and it will open up all kinds of possibilities for what you can do with the items you will begin getting for free, donating is just one possibility, I will discuss some of the other options you will have for the free groceries you will be getting when you coupon in a later post as well as more posts on simple saving tips and couponing for men.
